 客庄十二大節慶的『臺東好米收冬祭』，是東部客家族群的年度慶典，客家族群承襲習俗，在稻穀豐收之後，舉辦敬天謝地之「收冬戲」除了酬神、還願，並祈福來年風調雨順大豐收；臺東客家文化中有傳統亦有現代，最能凸顯的特色就是『米食文化』，為活絡客家文化，特舉辦慶祝豐收之相關活動，以提供在地客家藝文團隊展演舞臺及在地客庄文化創意產業展售空間，並提昇「台東好米」為全國第一好米的明星產業印象。 |

| 臺東縣政府多年來推展客家文化不遺餘力，『臺東好米收冬祭』歷經開創、深耕、推廣，現已邁入第五年，挖掘更多的在地特色，建構更有創意的新面向，讓這傳統文化慶典的得以延續。不僅讓國人注意到臺東不只有原住民文化，更以愛家鄉吃好米為活動概念，以公益包裝活動，以活動推廣產業的方式，成功的形塑東部客家族群純樸好客、濟貧扶弱、融合互助、愛家愛鄉的精神，創造出不同於西部客庄的大型客家慶典，參與活動的來客數及媒體曝光率更是年年創新高。 | ||
